MICHAEL TAKES LEAVE OF ABSENCE I'm taking a leave of absence to take care of my father who recently suffered a stroke. Since I don't know whether my father's recovery will take months or years, I ask that you please find another technician to take my place. Fortunately, there are some very knowledgeable piano technicians in the St. Louis area. Although I don't know all the good technicians out there, here are some of the masters who I do know: David Porter 314-469-3217 I've listed these in no particular order, so please pick any name at random. (I didn't get their permission or check to see if their phone numbers are current, so this should be an adventure!) Thanks for sticking with me all these years. I hope to someday return. -Michael

Please allow at least 2 hours for a work session (even though the work can often be finished in less time).
All pianos are tuned to A-440 concert pitch (unless summer sharpness or rusty strings suggest better choices).
Our concert technician (Michael Laschober) is a familiar pianist and piano technician in the St. Louis area. In most situations, the piano will be tuned with state-of-the-art computer hardware and then aurally tested for beautiful harmony.
All work is guaranteed. With our huge network of musicians, we have literally thousands of satisfied customers. Our customers include major piano dealerships (including both Steinway and Yamaha), universities, colleges, orchestras, major school districts (including the Webster Groves, Clayton, Mehlville, University City, St. Charles, Fort Zumwalt, Wentzville, Union, Pattonville, Hancock Place, Pacific and Parkway school districts), major arts organizations and events (such as COCA, the St. Louis Jazz Festival, and the Repertory Theatre), major hotel and concert stages, dozens of churches and synagogues, and of course a large number of respected St. Louis piano teachers and musicians.
Want advice on buying and caring for a piano? See our question and answer section in the St. Louis Piano Community webpage: "Buying and Caring for a Piano"
Need to find a piano teacher? There's a long, long list of teachers (with zip codes!) at the St. Louis Piano Community webpage: "Current St. Louis Area Piano Teachers"
Our technician (Michael Laschober) has written a number of books and has composed collections of music. He always welcomes advice, criticism and performances of his works. You may purchase his more recent compositions (under the name 'Secretary Michael') at the Metadar Website.
