There aren't many piano manufacturers left on the planet.
St. Louis is fortunate to have a rather large selection from which to choose.

McMurray Music
(www.mcmurraymusic.com) Miller Music Steve Miller (the owner) will probably meet you there. He
is a pleasant, low pressure (actually, no pressure) fellow. There are
about 40 pianos in the showroom. Besides the pianos in the showroom, Steve explains that he can order any
Weber piano from the Kentucky warehouse and have it delivered to you quickly. He
explains that the Weber is made in Korea and is basically the same piano as the Young
Chang - only with a more western name and a different cabinet design. Miller Music also carries a number of electronic pianos (especially the
Kawai digital, their main seller), quite a few guitars and plenty of sheet music. Steve says that he doesn't get a lot of visitors from St. Louis, but
those who do come over the bridge save quite a bit of money. You can also contact Steve Miller by email:
millermusicinc@aol.com Piano Distributors (Chesterfield) The new home for Yamaha pianos in the St. Louis area.
Instead of one large showroom, the building is divided into many smaller rooms.
In addition to new Yamaha pianos, they carry several other brands,
including some electronic pianos. Some of the Yamaha pianos have DiskPiano
systems already built into them, turning the piano into a self-playing instrument. Piano Distributors (Fairview Heights) Offers: Yamaha, Cable Nelson, Clavinova, Wymann, Pearl River, Pramberger, rebuilt Steinways; Steinway Piano Gallery / Baldwin
Piano Center (share the same building) If you like fine pianos, you'll love visiting this place! In one
of the rooms there are more than a dozen Steinway grands - every kind of Steinway
grand! Models S (5'1), M (5'7), L (5'10), B (6'10), and D (8'11). In another room there are about 10 Baldwin grands, including models M
(5'2), R (5'8), L (6'3), SF (7'), and SD (9'). Near the front door of the store there are 6 or 7 Boston grands, models
GP163 (5'4) and GP 178 (5'10). In addition to these, there is a larger Boston grand
GP193 (6'4) on the stage of the recital room. The recital room seats about 100
people. There are a couple more rooms. In one there are several Wurlitzer
and Chickering grands. In the other there are about 25 used uprights (spinets and
consoles) and also 11 electronic Baldwin and Technics keyboards. Mistakes? Suggestions?
